A SECONDARY school Teacher has been killed in Nyakach Sub-County after a disagreement with three students in a pub. The teacher identified as Manase Omole of Guu Secondary school met his death after three students accosted him in a bar at Nyamaroka market. According to Assistant Chief of Koguta East Sub-Location Walter Oguche who confirmed the incident, the three students’ one is a university student and the two are secondary school students within the area. The Assistant Chief says the deceased and the suspects were together in a bar last night when the incident occurred. Sources say the three students allegedly insisted that the teacher buy them alcoholic drinks but he declined. SUGAR CANE Farmers from the Larger Western Kenya region have said they are not ready to support the issue of zoning sugar cane nuclear. They say the issue of zoning which has been fronted for its re-introduction by the National Government under the proposed Sugar Regulations 2018 is not a good practice at all. Addressing the media in Kisumu today to explain their predicament with the issue, the Sugar cane farmers drawn from Kisumu, Bungoma, Busia and Kakamega led by Albert Wetundu urges the Government not to re-introduce it in the new sugar regulations of 2018. Three die in a grisly accident along Kisumu-Kakamega Road. THREE People have died today morning following a grisly road accident that occurred along Kisumu-Kakamega Road. The trio perished on the spot after a Nissan matatu they were travelling in from Nyahera area lost control and rolled. 12 people who sustained injuries were rushed to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital for treatment. According to Kisumu OCPD Meshack Tum who visited the scene, the vehicle lost its brakes and rolled thereby causing the accident. Tum says those who died were one male and two females and those injured sustained head injuries and fractures.
