March 29, 2019. 7,000 needy students benefit from Kisumu Central NG-CDF Bursary of sh 30 million. ABOUT 7,000 students have been awarded bursary from the Kisumu Central National Government Constituency Development fund bursary. The students ranging from Secondary, Tertiary institutions and Driving schools have been awarded the bursary to help in paying fees for their education. Speaking during the launch of the Bursary program, Kisumu Central Member of Parliament Fred Odhiambo Ouda said his priority is to ensure the needy students within the constituency are supported to get education with easy through the bursary fund. KISUMU Deputy Governor Dr. Mathews Ochieng Owili says he fully supports his Governor Prof. Peter Anyang Nyong’o decision to nominate six people to be members of the County Public Service Board. Dr. Owili says the decision to nominate Charles Babu Karan as the Chair of the County Public service Board alongside other five people has been an executive decision. March 28, 2019. Kisumu Tuk Tuk Operators form association to bring sanity in the sub-sector. THE Tuk Tuk Operators in Kisumu County have formed their Association which will help in bringing sanity in the Sub-Sector. The Association Known as Tuk Tuk Association of Kisumu has been formed by all the Tuk Tuk operators in the entire Kisumu County. Addressing the press in Kisumu during the launch of the Association, The Association’s Chairman Michael Otieno Mboya said it has been formed so as to bring all the Tuk Tuk Operators together. He says it will also help them to tackle their problems as an organized group, adding that in the recent past they have not been organized. He says the Association has 3470, adding that the plan to start the association was moot
