Record statement with FBI to disapprove DCI Kinoti professionally, Atwoli tells DP Ruto 

Central Organization of Trade Unions has told Deputy President Dr. William Ruto to record a statement with the Federal Bureau Investigations in regard to the brutal murder of Sergeant Kipyegon Kenei because he seems not to be having confidence in the office of the Director of Criminal Investigations.

COTU General Secretary Francis Atwoli says since the DP Ruto has stated that the office of the DCI is being used to undermine his office, DP is at liberty to record statement with the FBI so as to challenge the DCI’s Office in a professional manner.

Addressing the press in Kisumu today, Atwoli castigated DP Ruto for not being sincere and keeps on talking about contradictory statement in regard to the issue of fake firearm deal that is said to have been negotiated in his office at Harambee Annex where the DP had said the former Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa was in his office for only 23 minutes but DCI George Kinoti says  CCTV footage within the building revealed that he was there for one hour twenty two minutes.

Atwoli says DP Ruto sits in the National Security Council Committee in his virtue as number after President Uhuru Kenyatta and is he feels not satisfied with investigations by the DCI under Kinoti then should record such with FBI.

The Cotu boss says there is no need for the DP Ruto to go round the country telling the public how his office is being undermined by the DCI but has failed to record any statement in regard to the incident.

“I believe FBI can give three to four senior officers from US and DP Ruto can go and record his statement there in regard to the brutal murder of Kenei.This will be parallel and independent investigations and in this way, he will disapprove DCI Kinoti professionally,” Atwoli says.

Atwoli claims that the DP Ruto is now disowning former Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa, adding that MPs from Western Kenya region who keep on following DP Ruto  should be careful because he will soon disown them.

The Cotu Boss at the same time said, there has been a lot of political changes since handshake that occurred exactly two years ago thus various political leaders should embrace such changes.

He adds that Politicians should accept such changes that has occurred since the Handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
