The driver of the trailer died on the spot while two occupants were pronounced dead on arrival at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kisumu. One person was critically injured and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. The accident occurred when a trailer carrying sugarcane to a Sugar factory within the region lost control and dropped off from the Nyamasaria flyover when the accident occurred today at around 11:00am.
