Chairman of the Council of Governors Wickliffe Oparanya says the Council has already constituted a committee that is working on the recovery of the economies of the various counties after the Covid-19 ended. Oparanya says it is not known when the pandemic will end but such a strategy should be put in place as early as possible because already the pandemic has affected the economy of various counties. Chairman of the Council of Governors Wickliffe Oparanya addressing the press in Kisumu today-Photo By Dickson Odhiambo  By Dickson Odhiambo      May 27, 2020 County Governments map 1.9M Households requiring food support due to Covid-19 The County Governments have mapped 1.9 Million Households that require food support due to livelihood challenges related to COVID 19.  The Council of Governors Chairman Wickliffe Oparanya says out of the 1.9M households mapped, counties have prioritized 742, 038 homes for food aid through cash transfer, e-voucher and in kind food distribution.    Addressing the press in Kisumu today, Oparanya said so far 9 County Governments have been able to mobilize sh 1.087 Billion to support this initiative.  The Council of Governors say it appreciate the support by National Government to 250,000 households in ten counties and urge that the program be expanded to cover all the 47 counties. Kisumu Governor Prof Peter Anyang Nyong’o says the three are confirmed cases since last Saturday May 23, 2020. In a press statement to the newsrooms today, Governor Nyong’o says two of the cases are currently at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital Covid-19 isolation center and the other one case is in an isolation center in Nairobi. Nyong’o says the first two cases who are both male aged 19 and 82 years respectively are long distant truck drivers whom the public health surveillance team intercepted having traveled from South Sudan and Uganda respectively through Busia Border Control last Saturday. “The third one, a
