THE RESIDENTS of Onjiko/Awasi Ward within Kisumu County will have an established Public Health facility within the ward, Area Member of the County Assembly has said. December 29, 2018. Kisumu set to host mega Gospel Concert on New Year’s Eve. KISUMU City is set to host a mega Gospel Concert which will usher in the New Year of 2019. The event known Totally Sold Out {TSO} is set to be held at Jomo Kenyatta Sports Ground on December 31 this year from 6:00 pm till dawn of January 1, 2019. In a press statement to newsrooms today, it shows that among the Gospel Musicians set to perform at the said concert include the celebrated top Tanzanian Gospel Artist Christina Shusho, Kenyan Gospel Artists Everlyne Wanjiru and Evelyn Muthoka among other Gospel Musicians. OVER 100 residents of Kanyakwar area within Kisumu Central Sub-County have today taken their peaceful demonstration to Kisumu Central Police station following the illegal demolition of a home belonging to a person with disability. They marched from their area near the Lake Basin Development Mall several kilometers to Kisumu Central Police station within Kisumu City where they have registered their displeasure with the police whom they have accused of overseeing a process of what they have termed as illegal demolition of the three houses belonging to mzee John Lang’o Otieno who is a person with disability.
