ODM Delegates in Ksm East endorse Lawyer Mwamu for MP’s position

 A section of delegates of the Orange Democratic Movement{ODM} Party in Kisumu East Constituency have endorsed Lawyer James Aggrey Mwamu and promise to support him to be  nominated by the party during its primaries this month.

The about 100 delegates who converged during the last Weekend, promised to fully rally behind Mwamu who is seeking to get the ODM Party ticket during its nomination this month.

The ODM party delegates comes from the five wards within the constituency namely Kolwa East, Kolwa Central, Kajulu, Manyatta B and Nyalenda A.

Mwamu was widely proposed and seconded by the delegates who later endorsed him to be the ODM nominee.

Dalmas Juma Kola from Manyatta B Ward alongside other ODM delegates from other wards within the constituency say Mwamu has what it takes to be the ODM party nominee and eventually the next Member of Parliament for Kisumu East constituency.

“We are supporting you so that you can be the ODM nominee for the position of Member of Parliament for Kisumu East because you have what it takes to be our next MP,” they say.

Mwamu while accepting his endorsement by the ODM Party delegates thanked them for such a great move.

He has urged them to help him mobilize the electorates to fully support him for his bid as the next Member of Parliament for Kisumu East Constituency.

“I can be the next Member of Parliament if the majority of electorates support my bid and I am asking you to help me mobilize and woo the electorates to fully support me for this course,” Mwamu says.

Lawyer James Aggrey Mwamu is campaigning to be the next Member of Parliament for Kisumu East Constituency on a platform of an 11 point Agenda that include proper utilization of National Government Constituency Development Funds {NGCDF}, having a people’s drive constituency’s strategic Plan, Improvement of Educational Standards, Improvement of Health facilities, recognition of Community Health Volunteers and Creation of Women’s Saccos to empower women.

Others include improvement of agriculture and food security, standing committee responsible for youth, sports and culture, representation, Oversight and legislation.

Mwamu is the Former President of the East African Law Society.

So far, a number aspirants have declared their interests for the Kisumu East Parliamentary seat and will square it out during the ODM Party Primaries to be held this month.

They include James Aggrey Mwamu, Nicholas Oricho, Charles Odhong, Nahshon Oguya.

The Kisumu East Parliamentary seat is currently held by Shakeel Shabir who is serving his third term in office as the Member of Parliament.
