Seme residents urge ODM to give
ticket to development oriented person
THE
residents of Seme Constituency in Kisumu County now appeals to the Orange
Democratic Movement{ODM} Party’s National Elections Board to give its ticket to
an individual who is development oriented.
The residents
say that the current regime should not continue with the work of representing
them in Parliament and instead should have another person to be their next
Member of Parliament.
Addressing
the press within the constituency, the residents said in the history of the
constituency, Members of Parliament have served for two terms, adding that it
is now time for another person to take over.
They are
urging the ODM Party to consider giving the ticket to Dr Richard Ayah whom they
say has shown qualities of good leadership and has what it takes to be their
next Member of Parliament.
Austine
Omondi, a resident within the Constituency says it is high time to get another
leader as a Member of Parliament.
Evance Owino
from the constituency says the person who has greater interest of Seme
constituency at heart is Dr Richard Ayah.
“We want to
try another person to be the next Member of Parliament but this does not mean
that we don’t like our current Member of Parliament Dr Nyikal. He has worked
for us for the last ten years and now it is time for him to pave way for
another person,” he says.
Akendo
Jalung’a from East Seme Ward says they need a fresh blood so as to help in
bringing development within the constituency.
