Our focus as a govt is development, CS says

The major focus for the Kenya Kwanza Government is to ensure that the various parts of the country are developed, a cabinet secretary has said.

ICT and Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo says the Government of Kenya Kwanza has lined up a number of development in different parts of the country that include infrastructural development.

Addressing the residents of Siaya County during the official opening of the Anglican Church Trinity Church House in Bondo Town, Owalo said the Kenya Kwanza Government under President William Ruto is focusing on development in various parts of the country regardless of the voting patterns during the last General Elections held in August 2022.

He says his Ministry will embarked on putting up computer laboratories in various wards across the country.

He says this will be done in consultation with Members of Parliament and Members of the County Assemblies across the country.

“These digital labs will really help the young to acquire computer skills and engage in getting digital jobs easily,” Owalo says

Owalo adds that in Nyanza region, a construction of a 3 Billion fisheries institute has been launch by the President within Kisumu County at Kabonyo/Kanyagwal ward.

He says another focus is women and youth empowerment as well as construction of roads coupled with provision of electricity in rural areas.

The ceremony for the official opening of the ACK Trinity Church House in Bondo Town was presided over by Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary and CS Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, on behalf of the President Dr William Samoei Ruto.
