By Dickson Odhiambo   July 26, 2018 Court of Appeal upholds Nyamira Governor’s election. The Court of Appeal in Kisumu has today upheld the election of Nyamira Govenor John Nyagarama after dismissing an Appeal challenging his election. While dismissing the appeal,the court has observed that it had no merit wanting the election of Nyamira County governor declared null and void. Delivering the judgement on behalf of his two Colleagues, Justice Stephen Gatembu said the appellant Walter Nyambati did not prove his appeal wanting the election of Nyamira Governor who is the first respondent in the appeal declared null and void. The three Judges in their ruling said the court of Appeal has no basis to interfere with the findings of the High Court which had earlier dismissed the election...

Woman blames hospital for the death of her 2 year-old boy before operation. A FAMILY of a middle-aged woman is in a state of mourning after they say that a health facility is to blame for the cause of death of their two-year old son. The woman identified as Dolphin Awuor from Nyalenda estate says that she went Kisumu County Hospital last week where she was seeking treatment of her son who was sick and was to be operated. Speaking to journalist after the incident, Awuor said medical personnel handling her son injected him last Friday with excess anesthesia before operation and this might have led to his death before undergoing operation.
