SIX People including a former County Secretary of Siaya County Government have been charged before a Kisumu Court with corruption. The six are Kepha   Marube, the former County Secretary of Siaya County Government who is now working as Deputy County Secretary in Muranga and Amos Onyango who is Chief Officer in charge of Governance. Other accused persons include Collins Owino serving as the internal Auditor, Head of Procurement Zakayo Ojuok, Tobias Oloo who is the Director of Supply and Chain and Engineer Tom Mboya. They have been charged before Principal Magistrate Patrick Olengo with seven counts. One of the counts states that they irregularly awarded tender for the purchase of Supply and installation of sports facilities at shs 13.5 million. THREE Members of the County Assembly of Kisumu who were suspended by the Speaker over alleged grossly disorderly misconduct have gone back to the Assembly after a High court in Kisumu ordered that the suspension be lifted until the matter they presented to court on their suspension be heard and determined. THE County Assembly of Kisumu has summoned the Executive wing of the county Government to come and give a report on the effects of current flood situation within the various parts of the County.
