I am fully back to be Ksm Governor, Ranguma declares

 

The Pioneer Ksm Governor Jack Ranguma has officially declared that he will vie for Ksm Governor Come next year’s General Elections.

 

 

Ranguma has declared it as a return of the journey to development and Growth for Kisumu County.

 

Speaking to the residents of Kisumu during a breakfast meeting held in Kisumu today, Ranguma said he was cut short because of the political disruptions ahead of 2017.

 

Ranguma has categorically stated that he is not someone’s project as he is making a comeback as Kisumu’s third Governor, adding that it is other people who can be his projects.

 

Ranguma has said for the two terms that the current regime has served, Kisumu residents are allowed to judge the current administration.

 

The Pioneer Kisumu Governor says during his reign, Kisumu witnessed tremendous growth, adding that he initiated a total of 1,157 projects across Kisumu County.

 

He adds that his administration constructed 522 kilometres of roads during his reign as the Pioneer Governor, adding that in health sector, he constructed 95 dispensaries and they were all ready for services.

 

He says the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teacing and Referral Hospital {JOOTRH} was under him running it fully because it was the largest referral hospital in Nyanza region and other counties were not supporting it financially.

 

Ranguma further says his administration put up 45 Solar lights in Ksm County to help in improving security.

 

He says there was a Governor Scholarship program which he initiated and 280 benefitted from this.

 

"One of the beneficiaries came back and appreciated this with a half a kilo of sugar and I took it. It was a good gesture," Ranguma says 

 

Ranguma says he initiated ECD Feeding Program as well as Controlling floods in Kano through disilting of rivers.

 

He say his administration managed to put water in place by drilling boheholes and expanded Kiwasco water service beyond Nyamasaria area.

 

"My plan was to take water from River Yala so that all residents of Ksm were to have enough water," He says 

 

He says they were going to talk to Vihiga County fora way leave for this project.

 

"My development agenda also tackled informal employment and did this by taking the Boda Boda riders to Rwanda for Bench marking. I was planning to supplement their income," Ranguma adds.

 

He says during his tenure as the first Governor of Kisumu, he ensured that he paid those who did genuine work with the county Government of Kisumu.

 

He says his desire is to move the Kisumu County forward and not backwards.

 

"My desire was to create a conducive environment for people to earn a proper living, " he further adds .

 

He further says there was 800M at the time he left the office in 2017 and this was enough to pay the pending bills.

 

"This Morning I stand before you to declare my interests to be the next Governor of Kisumu during the next Year's Polls," Ranguma adds.

 

Ranguma maintains that he worked with a lot of wisdom, Integrity, adding that  he will review and see what has to be strengthened.

 

"I started an ambulance project which was very wonderful," he further says.

 

He says he knows it won't be easy to turn around the economy of Kisumu but will ensure that he does something about it at all cost.

 

He hints that he will work closely with the contractors around Kisumu County.

 

Rehabilitation of roads within Ksm County when he is elected as the Third Governor of Ksm during the August 2027 Polls.

 

"Devolution was brought to benefit the people of Kisumu at all cost and this is what must be done. I am only here to create a legacy in Kisumu County," he adds 

 

 He further adds that he will carry out capacity building  for the County Workers.

 

He praises Governor Nyong'o for mentoring him in politics when he wanted to vie for Kisumu County Governor, adding that he must appreciate what he Successor has done in Kisumu County.

 

"Even after he leaves office, I will still consult him," says Ranguma, adding that he is really respectful to Governor Nyong'o.

 

In the future, he promises to appoint village administrators, adding that they will do administration work at the village level.

 

He says he will fully strengthen agriculture in Kisumu County, adding that the agricultural Extension officers will be active during his tenure as the Third Governor.

 

He has promised to strengthen Saccos in Kisumu County once he is elected as Kisumu Governor.
