THE Process of public participation on the financial year 2018-2019 Budget for Kisumu County has kicked off at the various ward levels for the public to give their views on the budget estimates. The process kicked off in a number of wards within the County including those wards within Kisumu City. Kisumu County has 35 wards represented by 35 elected Members of the County Assembly of Kisumu. One of the wards that has benefitted from the budget estimates is Kondele ward which has been allocated shs 32 million for development within the ward for the next financial year 2018/2019. COURT of Appeal has thrown out an appeal case filed by Kisumu Governor Prof. Peter Anyang Nyong’o challenging the earlier decision of employment and Labour Court that reinstated    eight chief officers who were working in the previous county Government of Kisumu.
