Kenya Coast Guard Service Director General Brigadier Retired Loonena Naisho says more than 100 offenders will be prosecuted over the matter of using illegal fishing gears. Addressing the press in Kisumu today during the exercise to destroy the illegal fishing gears, KCGS Director General said 45 illegal fishing nets were seized during the swoop. He says some of the nets seized include Monofilament nets, undersized gillnets, mosquito seine nets and beach seine popurlaly known as Amuok in local language.
