Africa Media and Malaria Research Network mourns fallen Journalist

 

A Network comprising of Researchers on Malaria and Media in Africa has paid their great tribute to the departed Journalist in Kenya.

 

The Network known as  African Media and Malaria Research Network{AMMREN} has said the Kenyan Media fraternity has lost a great journalist through a tragic Road accident.

 

The Network through its Executive Secretary Dr Charity Binka mourned Dickens Wasonga as a prolific writer and one of the pioneer team of Journalists for AMMREN in Kisumu.

 

In her condolence message to the family, Friends and Colleagues delivered by AMMREN Kenyan Coordinator Bernard Okebe , who had worked with Wasonga in the Media industry   for more than two decades, the network says it will great miss Wasonga as a very dedicated journalist.

 

"It is with deep sorry that I have learnt  of the sudden and sad demise of Journalist Dickens  Wasonga through a grisly road accident  in Kisumu,” part of the statement say.

 

Dr Binka says the AMMREN  fraternity joins in mourning one of our pioneer team members in Kisumu.

 

Dickens Wasonga, the Kenyan Journalist based in Kisumu City died on Friday after involved in a grisly road accident along Kisumu-Kakamega Road near Mamboleo Junction within Kisumu City.

 

He was working for The Star Newspaper.
