The Bill known as the Railways Bill, 2024 once passed by Parliament and become an Act will establish the Kenya Railways Corporation. Speaking in Kisumu during a public participation process in Kisumu, Senior Assistant Director in Roads and Rail Department within the Ministry of Transport Wendy Maina said  the Bill is now under the process of reviewing it. The Technical and Vocational Education Training Center will be constructed at Ofis Ng’eny area within Sidho East. Muhoroni NGCDF Constituency Manager Sospeter Ngere says the construction of the institution will commence soon as funds have been set aside for its construction. Ngere says the Technical institution will be known as Muhoroni Technical and Vocational Training Center. He says the institution will target those who have not qualified for the University education and would want to undertake technical courses at the Technical and Vocational Training Center.
