Candidates told to tackle exams on their own
The candidates taking this year’s Kenya Primary School
Education Assessment for Grade Six {KPSEA} and the Kenya Certificate of
Secondary Education {KCSE} Exams have been told to tackle the papers on their
own without engaging in cheating in the exams.
President of Mwalimu James Japheth Mwamu Foundation Lawyer
James Aggrey Mwamu says the candidates
have been studying all along for the years they have
been in school and are able to do the national examinations on their own
without engaging in any form of exam malpractice.
Addressing the press at his Kisumu office, Mwamu said the
candidates should just fully concentrate on their national examination, adding
that some are going to do well depending on how they tackle the exams where
most papers kicks off next week across the country.
Mwamu urges the candidates never to be distracted by unscrupulous
people who want to confuse them with fake exam papers, adding that this will not
be a good move as it will make the most candidates fail in their national
exams.
“These candidates have been studying for their exams both in
Grade six and form four and they are very capable of tackling the national
exams. Let them do it and most of them will pass the exams. We should never
encourage the issue of cheating in exams,” Mwamu says.
Mwamu at the same time urge the Government to ensure that
there is adequate security for the people manning the national exams, adding cases
of invigilators and police officers manning exams being attacked should never
arise unlike some incidences was witnessed during the last year’s national exams in some areas
within the Country.
He has sent his congratulatory message to all the candidates
taking the national examination this year across the country.
