Muhoroni NGCDF disburse shs 7M Bursary to needy form four students

The Management of the National Government Constituency Development Fund in Muhoroni Constituency in Kisumu County has disbursed a total of shs 7M to this year’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education candidates as bursary.

The Muhoroni NGCDF Chairman Bernard Del says the funds are meant to help students in form four class who are about to tackle their Kenya Certificate of Secondary school Education{KCSE} exams as from next week to pay school fees arrears.

Addressing the residents of Muhoroni constituency during the disbursement of the cheques today at Nyang’oma Resource Center, the NGCDF Chairman said students who are in day schools within the constituency have received shs 4,000 each in form of the bursary.

He says 29 Day Schools have benefitted from the disbursed bursary, adding that a number of boarding schools are also set to benefit from this initiative.

Del says those in boarding schools have also benefitted and their cheques will be disbursed to schools outside the constituency as from next week.

The Muhoroni NGCDF Chairman says the remaining students in other forms from form one to three will get the bursary as from January next year.

Del says if at all the bursary has been allocated to a student who has already paid school fees fully, then the funds should be channeled to needy students who have never completed paying schools fees.

Muhoroni Constituency Development Manager Sospeter Ngere who represented the area Member of Parliament James Onyango K’Oyoo says the bursary disbursement will be of great help to the needy students who hails from the constituency.
