Ombeyi ward aspiring MCA urges electorates to focus on development

Residents of the Ombeyi ward within Kisumu County have been urged to seriously focus on development matters so as to be self-reliant.

An Aspiring Member of the County Assembly from Ombeyi Ward Engineer Erick Ouko says it is through serious development that the residents of the ward will be steady economically, socially and politically.

Addressing the residents of the ward at Ombeyi Market, Ouko underscore the need for various women and youth groups to form Savings and Credit Cooperative Society {Sacco} so as to embrace the culture of saving and borrowing for their development.

Ouko says Saccos formed with clear visions and missions will perform well and members will benefit from such a great deal.

He says it is high time people begin investing in Saccos for serious development where they can save and borrow money for doing various investments.

Ouko has taken an initiative to repair the ring road within Ombeyi Market so as to help in the easy access to the Market.

Millicent Awuor from Jiinue Women Group has profusely thanked the Aspiring MCA for the initiative of repairing the ring road within the market.

She has appealed to Ouko to help in financing their women group by empowering them with agricultural inputs.
