Kisumu Governor to manage health docket as its Acting CEC 

Kisumu Governor Prof Peter Anyang Nyong’o will personally manage the health and Sanitation docket in Kisumu County after reshuffling the current County Executive Committee Member in charge of that. 

In a press release dated March 20, 2020, Kisumu County Secretary Godfrey Kigochi said the Department of Health and Sanitation will be managed by the Governor Nyong’o himself before the appointment of a substantive County Executive Committee member in charge of that docket.

The Press Release says the Governor has further appointed the immediate County Executive Committee member in charge of Health and Sanitation Prof Judith Miguda Attyang as the new County Executive Committee member in charge of Business, Cooperative and Marketing.

Meanwhile, Governor Nyong’o has nominated Dr. Joyce Osogo as the County Executive Committee Member for Roads, Public Works and Transport.

Dr. Osogo is a specialist in Project Planning and implementation and has wide experience in doing innovative work in diverse social sectors.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 179{2} {b} of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and Section 30{d} of the County Government Act and in order to improve service delivery, His Excellency Governor Prof Peter Anyang Nyong’o has today nominated Dr. Joyce Atieno Osogo as the County Executive Committee Member {CECM} for roads, public works and Transport,” said part of the press release by the Kisumu County Secretary.
