Kisumu East Residents set to benefit from one month ID registration exercise

 

One month drive to get Identity cards registration exercise kicks off in Ksm East Constituency.

 

The exercise that has been organized by aspiring Member of Parliament in Kisumu East Constituency James Mwamu targets all the youth and those who have attained the age of 18 years and have no Identity Card and being undertaken by the department of Registration of Persons.

 

Mwamu says that he has realized that quite a number of young people still have no such important document that is a major requirement especially on issues of being registered as a voter and participate in the electoral process

 

He says already the exercise kicked off yesterday in Ragumo and has been there today at Tido area within the Constituency.

 

Today, the exercise proceeded to Chiga area in Kolwa East Ward.

 

This Friday, the exercise will be held at Obwolo area in Kajulu Ward.

 

Mwamu has urged all those who have not obtained the document to turn up in large numbers for the exercise.

 

Some residents who got the waiting cards for their IDs have praised the move to bring the services of registering people to obtain the document.
