UoN to hold first Annual African International Conference on Monitoring and Evaluation in Ksm 

The University of Nairobi in Partnership with the Annual African Conference of Monitoring and Evaluation is set to hold the first ever Annual   International conference on Monitoring and Evaluation at its Kisumu City Campus.

The event is set to kick off on Wednesday this week at the University of Nairobi Kisumu Campus for a period of three days and will come to an end this April 28.

The Conference Theme is about making Monitoring and Evaluation work for Africa by Interrogating Monitoring and Evaluation Policies, Systems, Education and Training.

It is estimated that a total of 86 papers on Monitoring and Evaluation will be presented during the three day Annual International Conference that will be held at the University of Nairobi Kisumu Campus’s Auditorium.

The event has been fully sponsored by the Annual African Conference of Monitoring and Evaluation{AAFCME}, the Regional Center for Project Management and Evaluation Training{RECEPMET}, the African Journal of Monitoring and Evaluation{AfriJME} and the University of Nairobi.

The First International Annual Conference of Monitoring and Evaluation is a flagship of the Annual African Conference on Monitoring and Evaluation {AAFCME} and the Regional Center for Project Management and Evaluation Training RECEPMET}.

The AAFCME is a platform of Monitoring and Evaluation scholars and practitioners drawn from Africa and outside the continent.

The AAFCME and the RECEPMET have signed a Memorandum of Understanding{MoU} with the University of Nairobi to among other agreements jointly plan the Monitoring and Evaluation Conference, seminars, webinars, Publication and Executive education and professional development.

The Conference will be officially opened by the Vice Chancellor of  University of  Nairobi Prof Stephen Gitahi Kiama.

Prof. Charles Rambo is the Conference Chairman while Dr. Isaac Abuya is the Conference Coordinator.
