A spot check by this writer shows that in a number of schools within the Kisumu city and its environs, the Class eight national exams kicked off by 8:30am when the candidates sat for their first paper which was Mathematics. At MM Shah Primary school in Kisumu City, the exams kicked off exactly 8:30am without any hitch. The school’s Head Teacher Marcelus Okweya said a total of 189 candidates are sitting the exams which will take three days up to Thursday this week.
