Three regional Musicians to perform in Kisumu today.
KISUMU County will today host three Music Artists who will
perform within Kisumu City.
The trio who are from Kenya, Tanzania and Democratic Republic
of Congo jetted into the Country and were welcomed at Kisumu International
Airport on Wednesday by Melamani Promotions who
have organized the event.
The three are Saida Karoli from Tanzania, L Rice from
Democratic Republic of Congo and Atomy Sifa from Kenya.
Addressing the press at Kisumu International Airport, a
representative from Melamani Limited Marketing Manager international Relations
Roseline Akinyi said they are one promoting the one day event.
She says the organization is there to promote talent from
Young people, adding that the organization was established in the year 2009
where it has promoted talents from young people for the last 10 years.
She says a part from the trio, local artist Musa Jakadala
will also perform with the trio during an event that will be held today at Tom
Mboya Labour College from 6:00pm.
Tanzanian Musician Saida Karoli says it is good to promote
the young talents so as to help develop their talents further.
She says there is need to have a lot of patience as an artist
within the music Industry, adding that their work as artists entails a lot.
She calls for the unity of all artists across Africa and
beyond, adding the artists who have stayed for long in the field should really
help in nurturing talents by the young musicians.
Karoli urges fellow artists not to engage in blame games but
engage in activities which will help in bringing unity among them.
“I want to urge fellow artists to ensure that they don’t
engage in blame games but should embrace activities which will help in bringing
unity among us as artists,” Karoli says.
Congolese Musician L Rice says he is happy to visit and have
him perform in Kisumu, adding that this is a good gesture.
Kenyan Musician Atomy Sifa says they are ready to thrill
their audience in Kisumu during the show.
