KISUMU County Assembly Speaker Ann Adul has said she will defend her seat as the Speaker when the Assembly convenes. Adul says her record during her tenure as the speaker speaks for itself hence this makes her to seek a re-election. Lawyer Amondi declares interest in Kisumu County Assembly Speaker’s seat. A KISUMU Based Lawyer has declared his interest to vie again for the position of Speaker of Kisumu County Assembly. Advocate Ken Amondi of Amondi and Company Advocates has again shown interest to contest the position of the Kisumu County Assembly Speaker after he did so but missed it by a whisker after narrowly losing to the outgoing speaker Ann Adul in the year 2013. HUNDREDS of Kisumu County Residents led by Governor Prof. Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o yesterday thronged Saint Joseph Catholic Church where they attended a requiem mass for Baby Josephine Samantha Pendo who died two weeks ago following alleged police brutality. Tears flowed freely from the eyes of the congregation who attended the mass conducted by Reverend Father Samwel Nyataya who said justice should be seen to be done following the unfortunate circumstances under which Pendo died.   He also called for justice to be served to all the victims of the post –poll protests witnessed in Kisumu and parts of Nairobi.
