KISUMU Governor Prof. Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o has sent 9 Committee Executive Members and all the 14 Chief Officers who have been serving at the previous County Government of Kisumu under immediate former Governor Jack Ranguma.

Nyong’o says this is part of restructuring process his administration is putting in place after taking over the reigns as the second Governor of Kisumu County.

Speaking after holding a meeting with the Committee Executive Members and the Chief Officers, Nyong’o directed the Chief Officers to immediately hand over to the Director of each department.

At the same time, Governor Prof.Nyong’o has appointed former Director of Kenya Medical Training College Dr. Charles Olang’o Onudi as the Acting County Secretary.

Dr. Onudi has taken over from Dr. Ojwang Lusi who has been acting in that position after Humphrey Nakitare resigned to contest the position of Governor in Busia County.

Dr. Ojwang Lusi has been also the Chief Officer of Health Department in the County Government of Kisumu under immediate former Governor Jack Ranguma.

In a press statement to newsrooms, Governor Nyong’o said Dr. Onudi will be heading the County’s Public Service as well as acting as the secretary to the cabinet of the county Government.

Onudi joins the new County Government of Kisumu from the neighboring Siaya County where he was working as the County Executive Member {CEC} for Health.

His past appointments include that of College Director at the Kenya Medical Training College and he has a vast experience as a General Medical Practitioner.
