THE Federal Party of Kenya has fully supported the move by
the National Super Alliance Coalition to swear-in it leader Raila Odinga as the
people’s President.
The Federal Party of Kenya {FPK} Secretary General Kennedy
Okello has said the recent move on Tuesday this week by NASA Coalition to
swear-in its leader is a good one.
Speaking to this writer in Kisumu on Wednesday, Okello said
as one of the NASA affiliates parties, it fully supports the swearing-in of the
Nasa Leader.
He says the party is fully behind Odinga and will always
stand with him after his swearing-in as the People’s President just as it has
been doing.
Okello has urged FPK supporters across the country to fully
support what Odinga did on Tuesday by being sworn-in as the People’s President.
Antipas Okoth, the FPK Coordinator in Kisumu County who
accompanied his Party’s Secretary General says he congratulate Odinga for
talking a bold move so as to be sworn-in as the People’s President.
He says Odinga has shown Kenyans his full courage by being
sworn-in on Tuesday this week.
Okoth says the move by Odinga is to tell Kenyans that he is
ready to ensure that Kenyans are fully in charge of their country.
“The move by Nasa Leader Raila Odinga to be sworn-in is a
bold one and this tells Kenyans that he is ready to ensure that Kenyans are
fully in charge of their country,” he says.
He says Kenyans should fully own Kenya but not a few
individuals.
Okoth has appealed to all the affiliate parties in NASA
Coalition to ensure that they remain united so as to help fight against
corruption which has bedeviled the country for quite a long time.
The FPK Secretary General Kennedy Okello at the same has
strongly condemned the recent move by the Jubilee Government to switch off
signals of three TV stations.
He has accused Internal Security Cabinet Secretary Fred
Matiangi of being dictatorial by allegedly ordering the switch off of three TV
stations namely Citizen TV, NTV and the Kenya Television Network {KTN}.
He says the party will team up with the media fraternity to
ensure that they challenge the Government’s decision on switching off the three
TV stations in the court.
“As FPK, we will team up with the media and see how we can
challenge this matter in court because this is unconstitutional,” he adds.
