Rowdy
crowd chases away Senator Outa from Governor Nyongo's function.
KISUMU County Senator Fred Outa has
been literally chased away from a function of Governor Peter Anyang Nyong'o
where the Governor was being welcomed after staying abroad for treatment nearly
two months.
Trouble started when Kisumu County
Women Representative invited the Senator to speak to the residents of Kisumu
county who turned up in large number so as to give heroic welcome to Kisumu
Governor Nyong'o who has been outside the country where he was in treatment in
the United States for nearly two months.
A section of the rowdy crowd who
have not been happy with the recent criticism by Senator Outa had mounted in
the absence of the Governor could not allow him to address the crowd.
They heckled and booed him as they
told him to sit down since they were not ready to listen to him.
They chanted slogans like 'Outa must
go and forced him to cut short his speech where he went back to the main diaise
where he earlier sat.
But Senator Outa before sitting
down told the crowd how bold he is and no one can prevent him from addressing
the residents as their Senator.
He blamed an ODM official of the Ksm
County for organizing how he has been booed and heckled, adding that he will
always be firm on issues within the county as the Senator.
"I am also somebody bold and
someone can not hire youth to heckle me as a Senator. This is unacceptable at
all," Outa said.
However as soon as the Governor
stood up to address the crowd, a section of the rowdy crowd demanded that Outa
leave the mains dais immediately.
The Senator left hurriedly as the
section of the crowd chanted 'Outa Must Go,Outa Must go.
Kisumu Governor Prof.Anyang Nyong'o
tried to plead with the crowd which later heeded his plea and listened to him
throughout.
Nyong’o in his address has thanked
all the residents of Kisumu county especially his Deputy Dr. Mathews Owili for
stndaing firm with him during his all the days he was in treatment in the
United states where one of his heap bone was replaced following a road accident
his was involved before becoming the
Kisumu Governor.
“I want to sincerely thank you all
for offering your support to me while I was a way for treatment and I also want
to thank my team led by my able Deputy Dr. Mathews Owili for doing a great job
while I was away,” says Nyong’o.
