 County Assembly of Kisumu has lost senior HRM as legion Maria mourns its Arch Bishop

 

The County Assembly of Kisumu is in a state of mourning after its senior Human Resource Manager passes on.

 

Speaker of the County Assembly of Kisumu and Clerk say the Members and staff of the Assembly have learnt about the passing on of Archbishop Lazarus Obera who until his demise was the Assembly's Senior Human Resource Manager with profound shock and sadness.

 

Assembly Speaker Elisha Jack Oraro says in the death of Obera, the Assembly has lost a dedicated, hardworking and religious servant.

 

In a press statement to news rooms, the Speaker says the Late Arch Bishop Obera has been an elder who was a source of inspiration to many and who ably played the role of a counsellor and mediator in the Assembly.

 

Obera passed on yesterday evening while receiving treatment at Aga Khan Hospital Kisumu after a short illness.

 

“On behalf of Members of the County Assembly of Kisumu, the House leadership and staff, we wish to convey our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the departed and equally condole with the leadership and members of the Legion Maria of African Church Mission following the loss of their spiritual leader,” read part of the statement.

 

The County Assembly fraternity says they are praying to God to comfort Obera's family, friends and fellow staff during this difficult moment.

 

Meanwhile, Members of the Legion Maria of African Church Mission is mourning the untimely demise of Arch Bishop Lazarus Obera who passed on last evening.

 

Some of the Church members in their various social media posts described the late Arch Bishop as dedicated man of God who was equally up to the task of serving the Lord.
