The National Government has been told to ensure that more teachers are trained on Competency Based Curriculum and build more infrastructure to help on the issue of 100 percent transition

A foundation says training of more teachers on CBC and putting up of more structures to help in the issue of 100 percent transition in schools across the country will be of great help indeed

Addressing students of St.Camulus Ogwedhi Mixed Sec School within East Kano Wawidhi in Nyando Constituency, the Foundation's President James Aggrey Mwamu said more teachers trained on CBC will help in ensuring that the right concept is given to the pupils at an early age.

Mwamu who spoke to the students during the donation of covid 19 kits like face masks and sanitizer and awarding four best students of the school who sat last Year's KCSE encouraged the students to work hard in their academic line.

The school's Principal Dickson Jimbo and a Former Parents Teachers Association Chairman Emanuel Ngeso Nyaoke lauded the Foundation's move to visit the school and awarded its four best students as well as donating the Covid-19 kits to the school like face masks and sanitizers.

Mwamu at the same time urged the parents to ensure that they looked after their sons and daughters well during the short school holidays that begins this week.

He says parents should make a follow up of what their children are doing while on holiday, adding that they should not loiter around but ensure that they are engaged in meaningful activities.

“I want to ask parents to ensure that they look after their children who now begin their one week holiday at home and make sure they engage in meaningful activities while at home,” he says.
