Foundation awards more best KCSE students in Ksm East

More students who sat their 2021 Kenya Certificate of Secondary school education {KCSE} exams have been awarded for exemplary academic performance.

The Mwalimu James Japheth Mwamu Foundation has awarded more than 20 more students who have done well in their KCSE exams and are proceeding with their education to the university level.

Addressing students of Obwolo and Dr. Aloo Gumbi Secondary schools during the award ceremony, the Foundation’s President Lawyer James Aggrey Mwamu said he has been impressed by the performance of those students who are now proceeding to the universities to further their education.

Mwamu says there is still need to address the issue of dwindling education standards in Kisumu East Constituency where all the stakeholders should be fully involved to ensure better education standards.

Mwamu urges the stakeholders to be ready to have a genuine dialogue that will greatly help in improving the educational standards in Kisumu East Sub-County.

“We still want all the stakeholders to converge and have a serious discussions on how best the educational standards in Kisumu East Constituency can be improved so that we have more professional as a sub-county in the near future,” Mwamu says.

He has urged parents to ensure that their children who sat KCPE exams proceed to form one so as to continue with their education.

Mwamu who is the former President of the East African Law Society has thanked the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology for a job well done by ensuring that it mop up most KCPE candidates to join form one in secondary schools across the country.

He has equally thanked the members of the Ministry of Interior and National Government Coordination at the grass root level for ensuring that most KCPE candidates 2021 in Kisumu East are in secondary schools courtesy of the Government’s policy on 100 percent transition.

The Mwalimu James Japheth Mwamu Foundation has been visiting secondary schools within Kisumu East constituency while awarding the Best KCSE candidates 2021, encouraging and motivating the current form fours on the need to work hard in their studies for the final exams slated December this year.

The Foundation has so far visiting Orongo, Angira, Kibos, Obwolo and Dr Aloo Gumbi Secondary schools within Kisumu East and awarded their best KCSE 2021 students who are proceeding to the Universities to further their education.

At Obwolo and Dr. Aloo Gumbi secondary schools, the foundation has awarded 5 and 13 students respectively.
