ballot Paper and My Support is for Raila-Ranguma says.
KISUMU County Governor Jack Ranguma has declared that his
name will be in the ballot paper come August 8 this year’s General Election to defend the coveted seat of
Governor thus ending speculations whether he will defend his seat or not.
Ranguma says that he believes in social democracy which is
in tandem with the Nasa Presidential flag Bearer Raila Odinga’s ideology and
will also support Odinga’s presidential bid as the Nasa Flag bearer while he seeks to be re-elected as Kisumu
Governor as an independent candidate.
The Kisumu Governor says he will again present himself to
the People of the County as an independent candidate during the polls.
Addressing the press at Sunset Hotel in Kisumu on Thursday where
he was accompanied by a large group of supporters, Ranguma says his development
records speaks for themselves across the various parts of the county hence this
will propel him to be re-elected as the Governor till 2022.
“My supporters across the county have petitioned me to vie
as Jacktone Nyanungo Ranguma in the seat of the Kisumu County Governor,” he
says.
He says very soon will avail his running mate so as to hit the
ground running on serious campaigns when IEBC opens the doors for official
campaign period.
Ranguma says the ODM National Elections board did not do a
good job as expected by the residents of Kisumu County.
The Governor says the focus is now on how to ensure that
Raila wins this year’s General Election and becomes the Country’s fifth
President.
He is optimistic that the residents of the county will
re-elect him so as to continue with the good work.
“I have worked closely with the residents of Kisumu and they
will be able to recognize my name as Jack Nyanungo Ranguma in the ballot paper,”
adds Ranguma.
He adds that the composition in his next government will be
all inclusive where the residents.
Ranguma has also taken his time to denounce the rumor that
he is a jubilee project, saying that he is seeking re-election as Jacktone
Nyanungo Ranguma.
He says he has never been in Jubilee Party and will not be there.
The race for the Kisumu Gubernatorial seat is expected to be
a fierce political battle among four Candidates namely Jack Nyanungo Ranguma {incumbent}
vying as an Independent Candidate, Prof. Peter Anyang ‘ Nyong’o of ODM, Jubilee
Party’s Atieno Otieno and Peter Charles{PC} Omollo of ANC.
