ODM Youths  roots for compromised Candidate.

THE Orange Democratic Movement {ODM} party youths in Kisumu now appealed to the party to intervene in the nomination fiasco in Kisumu Central Constituency.

The youths want the National Elections Board (NEB) led by Judy Pareno to choose a compromise candidate to fly the party’s flag in the constituency.

The youths led by Michael Raphael and Kennedy Ochieng Odongo claim that two of the contestants are dragging the party in unnecessary court battles.

Raphael says as young people they want the party to make such a decision so as to reduce the tension among residents of Kisumu central sub county as a result of the nominations.

Speaking to the press in Kisumu, Raphael says Kisumu Central Constituency needs stability adding that the anxiety and the tension about the nominations should be put to a stop.

Odongo on his part said the party should make the move as soon as possible.

He adds that the courts cases by the contestants are unnecessary.

Odongo appealed to the party to even think of Richard Dick Ogendo who he says has been supporting the party in crucial activities like voter registration and mobilization at the grass root level.

The Political Parties Dispute Tribunal early this week ordered the Party to give the nomination certificate to the current MP Ken Obura.

The recently concluded ODM Party primaries in Kisumu Central Constituency attracted several candidates including the current MP Ken Obura, Richard Ogendo, Onyango Oloo, Fred Ouda, Sam Okello, Elphas Oyugi among others.
