Film Board condemns video about Kirinyaga Deputy Governor.

THE Kenya Film Classification Board {KFCB} has roundly condemned the video which has gone viral in the social media about Deputy Governor of kirinyaga County being allegedly found in a compromising situation with a lady in a hotel room.

The Kenya Film Classification Board Chief Executive Officer Dr Ezekiel Mutua has termed the move as an act of terror which must be condemned at all cost.

Speaking in Kisumu today on the sideline of a meeting organized by the Board, Dr Mutua said those who are behind the filming of such a video should be investigated.

He says social media is not meant to carry out acts of terrorizing other people with an aim of maligning them, adding such suspects should be arrested.

“What I have seen about that video is an act of terror which is meant to destroy some people’s reputation which is not good at all,” Mutua says.

Mutua says the issue is very much completed because it cannot be understood how those people gained access to the room where the couple were.

“You can’t use social media to film people and circulate it in the public with an aim of maligning those people is not good at all and can’t  be supported at all,” he says.

He adds that those who are behind the video circulating had a bad intention since they filmed, produced and made it viral in the social media.

“It is not accepted that someone accesses a private life of someone in the room, film them then make the video to go viral. This is a violation of privacy,” he adds.

He says there is hope that those suspects will be brought to book hence justice done.
He adds that the Board is very keen in ensuring that all the films produced in the country have licenses from the Board.

Kirinyaga Deputy Governor Peter Ndambiri has said he was a victim of an extortion gang after a video went viral of him in a compromising situation with a woman, as several men assaulted them.
Ndambiri claims the video was orchestrated by a gang that had been targeting politicians and he was taken through an agonising moment.

He apologized to his family and the people of Kirinyaga who he said look up to him for guidance.
