Let us put issue of last Elections behind us and focus on development, says Tuju.

KENYANS should put behind the issues of last year’s General elections and forge ahead on matters of development, a Cabinet Secretary has said.

The Cabinet Secretary without Portfolio Raphael Tuju says the matters of last year’s elections are now behind and the Government is now fully focused on development matters across various parts of the country.

Speaking in Kisumu today after paying a courtesy call to the Nyanza Regional Commissioner and Kisumu Governor’s offices, Tuju said the major concern is to how create job opportunities for the youth in various parts of the country and not matters of last year’s polls.

“I think it is very important to put behind us the issues of last year’s elections and forge ahead in terms of development because at the end of the day, we are all brothers and sisters who live here in our beloved country Kenya,” Tuju says.

Tuju says the issues of last year’s elections should come to an end hence focus be put on moving the country forward together.

Tuju says the country should not be on a permanent political discord hence should move forward together, adding that political differences should not hinder the country from moving forward together.

He says the Government is fully committed in implementing the Big Four Agenda, adding that focus on industrialization is part of the focus as well as affordable Housing.

Tuju says Nyanza region should be moving forward in terms of development with other parts of the country.

Tuju who is in a fact finding mission to assess the situation of floods in parts of Kisumu County says he will give a brief on the flood situation to the National Government so as to be able to act appropriately.

He says part of the areas he will visit include Kisumu East Constituency, Nyando and parts of Nyakach constituency so as to assess the flood situation.

He says the National Government has given food aid to the victims of the floods in various parts of the country including parts of Kisumu County which has been affected by the floods.

Tuju was accompanied by Politician Steve Mwanga when he landed with a Chopper at Victoria Primary school in Kisumu and headed straight to the Nyanza Regional Commissioner’s office thereafter to the Kisumu Governor Prof. Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o’s office for a courtesy call.
