High Court upholds East Kano/Wawidhi MCA’s Election.

THE HIGH Court in Kisumu has today thrown out a decision by the lower court that nullified the election of East Kano/Wawidhi ward Ken Agengo’.

This means that the High Court has now uphold the Election of the  East Kano/Wawidhi ward Ken Agengo.

High Court Judge Fred Ochieng said the appellant was validly elected as the MCA on August 8,2018.

The Judge said the decision of the lower court that nullified the election of the Appellant is now null and void.

Ken Agengo, the MCA who was elected on August 8 last year and contested the lower court’s decision that nullified his election has now hailed the High Court ruling that has upheld his election.

Agengo was elected as an Independent Candidate during the August 8 last year’s elections.

He has promised to continue working for his electorates at the ward level so as to ensure they get better services.

Julius Omoro of ODM Party early this year moved to the lower court to challenge the election of Ken Ageng’o as the East Kano/Wawidhi MCAs.

The Lower Court nullified the Election of Ken Agengo on the grounds of electoral malpractice.

Ageng’o then moved to the High Court to challenge the lower court’s decision which nullified his election.

“I am very much happy with the High Court’s decision which has uphold my election as the MCA of East Kano/Wawidhi.This is because the lower court nullified my election for no apparent reason,” Ageng’o says.

Julius Omoro of ODM party candidate who successfully has promised to move to court of appeal to contest the High Court’s decision upholding the current MCA’s election on August 8 last year’s polls.
