Maseno Girls shines in KCPE Exams as all 89 candidates score 300 and above marks

MASENO Girls Boarding Primary school in Kisumu County has emerged one of the best schools in the county after it has posted an impressive result in this year’s Kenya Certificate of Primary Education which has been released.

The school’s top candidate in this year’s class eight final exams Otieno Shaleen Amondi has managed to score 418 marks out of the possible 500 while Onyango Leyler Sheaffer has garnered 417 marks.

The top candidate from the score was ranked index number 9 in this year’s KCPE Candidature from the school.

Over ten Candidates from the school who sat this year’s exams have managed to get 400 marks and above.

Addressing the press at the school following the release of this year’s KCPE exams results, the school’s Head Teacher Hellen Oginga says this year the school has managed to post a very impressive result after the candidate with the lowest marks has managed to score 300 marks.

Oginga says all the 89 candidates who have sat this year’s exams have managed to pass well, adding that this has made its mean score to improve further as compared to last year’s one.

She says their last year’s top candidate managed to score 437 marks, adding that the number of those who have scored 400 marks and above have increased.

“This year, our candidates have managed to pass highly as compared to last year’s exams and we thank God for such wonderful performance,” she says.

She has attributed the sterling performance to hard work and putting God first to all their activities.
At Xaverian Primary school within Kisumu central, there was joy and celebrations after the school too posted a good performance in this year’s KCPE exams.

The school’s top candidate Antony Odhiambo managed to get 426 marks and more than ten candidates from the school has obtained 400 marks and above.

Odhiambo hopes to join Alliance High School where he intends to study well and proceed to University where he wants to study neurosurgeon.

At Golden Elites School, Director Charles Ochome has said the school has managed to get good results with its top candidate getting 429 marks, adding that over ten candidates have managed to score 400 marks and above.

At Hekima School, the top candidate managed to get 410 marks in this year’s KCPE exams.

This year’s KCPE exams results was  released yesterday exactly three weeks after the candidates finished sitting the exams on October 31.

During the release of the KCPE results yesterday, Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha said the top candidate in this year’s class eight final exams has managed to score 440 marks, adding that three candidates tied at position 2 with 439 marks out of the possible 500 marks.
