Kisumu County Assembly condoles with the families of Nyando Six 

THE County Assembly of Kisumu has condoled with the families of six bouncers who were last Friday murdered in Busia as they were providing private security at a funeral.

During issuing a statement under the issue of county importance, Kondele ward Member of the County Assembly Joachim Oketch Omieno popularly known as Swagga sent a message of condolence to the families of the slain youth.

Contributing on the matter, Various Members of the county Assembly who were present has condemned the killings calling on the Police to speed up investigations into the matter and bring the suspects to book.

Market/Mlimani ward Representative Seth Ochieng Kanga has condemned the killings saying the Bouncers are a very organized group who offer security services to various institutions.

He urges the Director of Criminal Investigations to immediately launch investigations and arrest the perpetrators the heinous act.

Kolwa East MCA Steve Owiti has equally condemned the killings saying it is uncalled for at.

Kaloleni/Shauri Moyo MCA Prisca Auma Misachi says police should have helped to save the lives of the six youths before they were brutally murdered.

Misachi who is the majority Chief Whip calls on the Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong to apologize and help in arresting the perpetrtors of the barbaric act.

Vitalis Otura of Ombeyi ward has equally condemned the incident saying, there was a serious breach of security during the funeral.

“We are demanding an apology from our neighbors in Busia County so as to help us stay harmoniously,” Otura says.

Kobura Ward MCA Hon. Atieno says the residents of Busia County owes the Kisumu County Residents an apology.

He wonders where the state security officers were at the time the incident was occurring, adding that this is a clear show of the rot that is there in the security system.

Ahero Ward MCA Ken Ooko in whose ward the three out of the six youths who were killed hails from says the slain youth were members of a registered Youth Group known as Tich Tire Youth Group who were normally offering catering services in social functions.

Ooko has thanked the office of the Governor of Kisumu County who has promised to foot all the funeral bills.

Ooko also informed the House that the office of the Kisumu County Senator Fred Outa has also promised to chip in in order to help in incurring the funeral expenses.

He informed the Assembly that there will be a requiem mass this Friday at Karanda Primary school for the six slain youth and thereafter they will be ferried to various homes within Kisumu County for burial this Saturday.

Three of the six youth who were killed comes from Muhoroni, Nyakach and Kisumu East Sub-counties while the remaining three comes from Nyando sub-county.
