Kisumu Central OCS goes on transfer as residents praise his diligent work

Kisumu Central Police Officer Commanding Station has proceeded to transfer barely three months after being posted into the said station as residents praise his good work during his short stint.

A section of residents say the OCS Thomas Thimbara has been having a good working relationship with the public and has done his work diligently within a short period of time he served as the OCS Kisumu Central Police station.

The residents who have heaped a lot of praises on the said police officer cited his good rapport with the members of the public whenever he handled issues while serving as the OCS.

A resident, Omondi Okoth says he will always remember a senior police officer who knew how to handle issue and apply the law equally while discharging his duties to serve members of the public.

“During the short stint we have him as an OCS at the Kisumu Central Police station, he knew how to handle issues and deal with everyone fairly,” Omondi says

Thimbara says he has had a cordial working relationship with his successor Peter Muturi whom he welcomed and spent several nights together with him in the house before moving for a transfer to Uasin Gishu County in Rift Valley.

The immediate former Kisumu Central Police Station OCS took over from his predecessor Henry Simiyu who was transferred to Maseno Police station in Kisumu West.

He worked only a few months before being transferred to Uasin Gishu County in Rift Valley in the same capacity.

Simiyu was transferred from Kondele Police station to Kisumu Central Police station within the same Division where he worked and was recently transferred to Kisumu West sub-county in the same capacity.
