Residents of Kolwa in Kisumu
declare unity for a common purpose
RESIDENTS of the greater Kolwa Clan in Kisumu East
Constituency have declared to unite so as to chart their way forward in terms
of development and political need.
The residents led by the Ogayi
{Patron} of both Kolwa East and Kolwa Central Raphael Ochiel said it is now
high time for the clan to unite and champion their interest.
Addressing the residents during the Installation of Dr John
Rao Nyaoro as an Ogayi {Patron} of
Komollo within Kolwa Central at Ragumo area, Patron of the Greater Kolwa Mzee
Raphael Ochiel said the Installation is the beginning of a process to start
working towards the unity of the people of the area.
He says the Coronation of Dr Nyaoro will surely help in
charting way forward towards the residents needs socially, politically and
economically.
“I am very happy that we have installed Ogayi {Patron} for
Komollo sub-clan within the Greater Kolwa and this is now okay as he will help
to work quite well for the residents of Kolwa while teaming up with other
elders to move to greater heights,” Mzee Ochiel says.
He urges the residents to continue being peace-loving and
co-exist with one another harmoniously.
“As Kolwa residents, we should now speak with one voice and
this is possible if we are fully united and support the installed elder Dr
Nyaoro,” he adds.
He adds that they will have a common stand in the political
arena when the right time comes.
Former East African Law Society President James Aggrey Mwamu
who hails from Kolwa says they will fully support Dr Nyaoro in his new role as
an Elder of the community.
He says the Patron will be able to bring the residents
together towards a common Goal that include development matters for the area.
He says together with other Elders within the area, the patron
will now consult with the residents so as to know what the community needs.
Dr. Nyaoro has promised to work together with all the
residents of the area.
He says as the Patron, he has a robust plan for the
Community and they will speak with one voice.
