Don’t Attempt to cheat in National Exams, Nyanza RC warns

 

That Nyanza Regional Commissioner has issued a stern warning about those who would attempt cheating in the forthcoming national examinations that kicks off on Monday next week.

 

The Nyanza Regional Commissioner Flora Mworoa says the region is fully prepared in taking the KCPE, KPSEA and the KCSE exams of this year 2023, warning that those who will engage in any form of exam malpractice during the examination period will not be spared.

 

Addressing the press at her office in Kisumu today to give the preparation so far as far as the national examination is concerned, the Nyanza Regional Commissioner said they are set for the national examinations.

 

Mworoa says the region has secured adequate security for all the examination centers across Nyanza region.

 

 She says there are a total of 4, 933 examination centers for KCPE and KPSEA, adding that each center will have two security officers manning it during the examination period.

 

The Nyanza Regional Commissioner says the region also has 1,761 examination centers for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education{KCSE} Exams that will kick off after KCPE and KPSEA.

 

Mworoa has called upon the Center managers, Supervisors and the Invigilators and all other stakeholders to cooperate with the managers of the Examination that include Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of ICT so as to have a very transparent examination period.

 

“I want to take this opportunity to warn those who might attempt to engage in any form of malpractice during this examination period that such an attempt will not be tolerated at all cost,” the Nyanza Regional Commissioner says.

 

The Nyanza Regional Commissioner says all the examination papers will reach the centers in time and will be taken back to the containers after the exams are done.

 

She says the Government is very much ready to deal with the issue of floods should it be be around in areas prone to it, adding that they have mapped the schools that are prone to floods to ensure that no candidate miss exams.

 

On the issue of schools that were recently closed due to skirmishes along the Sondu-Kericho Borders, the regional Commissioner has said they are now open and examinations will go on as planned, adding that adequate security measures have been put in place to ensure that there is no any form of interference during the examination period.

 

The Nyanza Regional Commissioner was accompanied by the Regional Director of Education Nelson Sifuna, Regional Police Boss Manase Musyoka among other high ranking government officials from Nyanza region.
