He says they are just providing a temporary solution, adding that a permanent and lasting solution to the flooding within the area should be found.

Chairperson Disaster Management Mary Nyamondo says a permanent solution should be found on the issue of flooding within the area.

She says since 2019 during the water back flow, they have experienced flooding and they have never known peace.

Nyamondo says the both the National and County Government of Kisumu should construct a dyke for them so as to help in the full control of the flood menace within the area.

She adds that this will be good move and will greatly help in controlling the floods, adding that they are not able to do the farming they used to carry out within the area.
