We must finish stalled projects from previous regime, Nyong’o says.

KISUMU Governor Prof Anyang Nyong’o has reiterated his government’s full commitment to complete first the stalled projects initiated by the previous regime.

Governor Nyong’o says there are a lot of stalled projects which the previous regime under former Governor Jack Ranguma initiated which needs to be completed first.

Addressing the residents of Kabonyo Kanyagwal ward within Kisumu County after touring some stalled projects, Nyong’o said before embarking on initiating new projects, he will ensure that all the stalled projects are completed in the entire county.

Nyong’o says some of the projects which installed include construction of some health facilities, Early Childhood Development Centers among other.

He says already there is a team under the service delivery unit which is currently going around the county inspecting the implementation of projects in the entire Kisumu County.

“We must ensure that all the stalled projects in the entire county are fully completed before we initiate new projects,” Nyong’o says.

Nyong’o says the Kanyagwal Health center where a building has been condemned will be reconstructed within Kabonyo/Kanyagwal ward, adding that the Ogenya Health Center which stalled while still at the foundation level will be completed.

He says the county Government will ensure that all the roads which have been destroyed as a result of floods in some parts of the county will be repaired.

Governor Nyong’o adds that there is also a river within the Kabonyo/Kanyagwal ward which needs serious disilting.
