Clergy and a Luo elder supports DP Ruto’s 2022 Presidential bid.

A CLERGY in Kisumu and a Luo Council of Elders Chairman have supported the current Deputy President Dr. William Ruto in his 2022 Presidential bid.

Father John Pesa one of the Holy Ghost Coptic Church of Africa says there is nothing wrong with the current DP Dr. William Ruto contesting the Presidency in the year 2022 when President Uhuru Kenyatta’s term will expire.

Addressing the media during a church function at the Holy Ghost Coptic Church of Africa’ headquarters in Kisumu, Father Pesa said Ruto should make numerous trips in Nyanza region so as to woo voters when the right time comes for his 2022 presidential bid.

Pesa says as a clergy he will keep on praying for this nation to continue having peace before, during and after 2022 general elections, adding that peace and tranquility needs to continue prevailing across various parts of the country.

He has urged the Deputy President to visit various parts of the country while selling his policies to the electorates when the right time comes, adding that he stands a better chance in succeeding the President Uhuru Kenyatta after 2022 polls.

A faction of the Luo Council of Elders led by their Chairman Ker Nyandiko Ongadi says as the Luo council of elders they support further John Pesa’s sentiments throwing his weight behind Ruto’s 2022 Presidential bid.

He says Ruto stands a better chance to succeed President Kenyatta during the next polls in the year 2022.

“Tell the Deputy President that the people of Nyanza region welcomes him anytime whenever he wants to visit this region as a true son of Kenya because we are also Kenyans,” Ongadi says.

Kericho Governor Prof. Paul Chepkwony who represented the Deputy President during the church function at the Holy Ghost Coptic Church of Africa and commissioned a new Pentencia Prayer room said the DP means well for this country and will always stand for development across the country.

Governor Chepkwony says the Deputy President always stands with the word of God and is ready to offer his full support for the development of the church and any other religion across the country.

“The Deputy President should have been here with us at this particular function but he could not because of some serious engagement but has promised to be with you next time,” Governor Chepkwony says.

Citizens Convention People’s Party Grace Akumu says her party supports DP’s Presidential bid in the year 2022, adding that the DP is welcomed anytime in Nyanza region.
