We are ready for strategic partnership and collaboration-Nyong’o


KISUMU Governor Prof Anyang Nyong’o has reiterated his Government’s full commitment for strategic partnership and collaborations with various partners on different areas of development.

 

Governor Nyong’o says Kisumu County will be taking a bold and participatory approach within the healthcare landscape and other areas.

 

Addressing the press after the official opening of the trade mission Life science and Health from Netherlands, Nyong’o said the County Government remain committed to financial risk protection for all citizens and to health systems strengthening through strategic partnerships, leadership and governance and continuous quality improvement.

 

“We will take incremental steps together. We will learn together. Then we will celebrate our milestones together. I cherish the partnership that Kisumu enjoys with all her partners and stakeholders and I urge for enhanced collaborations in this journey towards transforming our health care systems,” Nyong’o says

 

Netherlands Deputy Ambassador to Kenya Joris Van Bommel says they are ready to partner with the County Government of Kisumu on various areas including Health among others.

 

He says they are very much ready to collaborate with the County Government of Kisumu to ensure that everyone has access to affordable health.

 

The Deputy Ambassador has also hinted that they are in Kenya as part of the Dutch Companies in the health sector for a week long trade mission aimed at boosting trade and investments between Kenya and Netherlands.

 

This delegation is comprised of 14 Dutch Companies getting a deep dive into the Kenyan Health care system by interacting with Policy makers, Companies and Universities and visiting various hospitals and health care facilities in Nairobi and Kisumu Counties,” he says.
