Ksm Central MP Leads Azimio Peaceful Protest in Nyando

Kisumu Central Member of Parliament Dr. Joshua Oron  yesterday led Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance Peaceful protest in Nyando constituency.

Oron led peaceful protestors within the streets of Ahero Town where the residents protested the high cost of living wanting the Government to reduce it.

The Kisumu Central Member of Parliament first joined the Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang Nyong’o together with his deputy Dr Mathews Owili and other political leaders who led the Kisumu County residents in a peaceful protest over the high cost of living in the country that is currently witnessed.

He then proceeded to Nyando constituency where he addressed the residents after leading a very peaceful demonstration within Ahero Town.

The Kisumu Central Legislator urged the residents to continue with the streets protests peacefully on the issue of high cost of leaving as directed by the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance Leader Raila Odinga who called on peaceful street protests across the country last week on Monday.

He has appealed to the residents not to engage in any act of lawlessness that may lead to destruction of property.

Oron was met by an enthusiastic crowd in Ahero Town where he was received warmly by the residents of Nyando constituency.

The residents have lauded the Kisumu Central Member of Parliament for a bold move to come and lead a peaceful protest within Nyando constituency.

“As a resident, Dr Oron has done well by coming and joining us in the peaceful protest in Nyando constituency. We welcome this move from him as a resident of Nyando and a political leader within Kisumu County where he is the serving as he current Member of Parliament of Kisumu Central Constituency,” they say.

Oron later meet the traders within the Ahero Market and addressed them on various issues affecting them as traders within the said market.

Last week, the residents of Nyando Constituency did not participate in the peaceful protest within Ahero Town as most of them went to their businesses even though a number of shops were not opened by various proprietors
