Raila, Uhuru told to lower prices of products of their companies before calling for protests

The Ruling Party of the UNITED Democratic Alliance {UDA} now want both Former President Uhuru Kenyatta and azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance leaders Raila Odinga to first reduce the prices of the commodities their companies produce before telling Kenyans to go to street protest due to high cost of living.

Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei says Uhuru should be ready to reduce the price of milk produced by Brookside, a company associated with the Kenyatta Family while Raila should do the same on the price of the gas produced by Spectre Company associated with the Odinga Family before they tell Kenyans to protest over the high cost of living.

Addressing residents of Kisumu during the launch of UDA Recruitment drive in Kisumu County today, Senator Cherargei by doing this, the duo will lead by example in lowering the cost of living for Kenyans.

The Nandi Senator says without this, Odinga should never call on Kenyans to protest the high cost of living.

“It is not realistic at all for Odinga to call for street protest over the high cost of living yet he has not helped Kenyans by reducing the price of the gas his company is producing. The same lies with former President Kenyatta whose company associated with his family is producing milk. Let him also reduce the price of Milk for Kenyans too,” Cherargei says

Cherargei says the Government should investigate the immediate former Kenya Revenue Authority {KRA} Commissioner General over his alleged involvement of illegal tax exemption that has made the country to loose huge sums of money unremitted as tax.

On his part, UDA Secretary General Cleopas Malala says there is no need for the call for street protest by some azimio la Umoja leaders on the high cost of leaving.

Malala claims that the main reason as to why Odinga is calling for the street protest is to seek sympathy and get the Kenya Kwanza Government’s ear and engage him in another Handshake.

“The only handshake that the President of Kenya will have is that with the electorates at the grass root level that include Nyanza and other regions but not with any other politician who is opposing the Government,” Malala says.

He says they will not allow another form of handshake between the President and Odinga.

He says Odinga should consider retiring from active politics then get retirement benefits from the Government.

He says the President means well for all parts of Kenya including Nyanza region where he has earmarked various development projects that will be carried out during his reign as the Head of State and Government.
