Keystone Sacco to open a satellite office in Homa Bay to serve its new members

The Keystone Sacco is set to open up a satellite office in Homa Bay County so as to serve the more members it has obtained after Re-branding from Kisumu Teachers Sacco Society one year ago.

Keystone Sacco Chief Executive officer Allan Kawa says they have recruited about 500 new members from Homa Bay County and its environs hence the need to get their services closer to its new members.

Addressing the Keystone Sacco Members during its 45th Annual General Meeting held in Kisumu today, the Sacco’s Chief Executive Officer Allan Kawa said since its re-branding, the Sacco has shown tremendous progress in terms of recruiting new members.

He says the re-branding was done last year so as to open up for more members who are not teachers as has been the norm.

The Chief Executive Officer says the Members have given it a go ahead to open the satellite office to bring their services closer to its members who are staying far away from Kisumu.

Kawa says they will visit the Saccos Regulatory Authority for the approval to have the satellite office in Homa Bay to enable them serve the members from that region well and efficiently.

He says the Sacco is intensify the recruitment of the new members in Siaya and Migori Counties.

He says after intensifying such a recruitment drive in the two counties, they will also open two new satellite offices in the two counties of Migori and Siaya.

Kawa says the Sacco now accept any salaried person to join it as members so as to help in growing its membership, adding that employees of Security firms and hospital workers have also been recruited as members of the Sacco.

“Our membership has increased tremendously because we resolved to have any salaried person to join as members and this has greatly help us in growing our membership as a Sacco,” Kawa says.

He adds that Saccos are the only inclusive vehicles for development since they offer both savings and credit options for the Members.

He says the Keystone Sacco is the most progressive Sacco in Nyanza and Western Kenya region for anyone to join and grow.
