ODM, UDA agree to form Broad-Based Management Committee

The Party Leaders of both the Orange Democratic Movement {ODM} Party and the United Democratic Alliance {UDA} have agreed to establish a Broad-Based Management Committee.

The two Party leaders President Dr William Ruto of UDA and Dr. Oburu Oginga of ODM say the Committee will be tasked with coordinating and synchronizing the legislative and executive agenda of the Government to ensure coherence, efficiency and effective service delivery.

In a joined Statement issued today, the two party leaders say the Committee will comprise the party leaders, Selected Cabinet Secretaries and both Leaders of Majority and Minority in Parliament.

This has emerged during a joined consultative meeting held today between the ODM and UDA while bringing together the UDA steering Committee and the ODM Central Management Committee.

The meeting focused on strengthening collaborations and exploring areas of mutual interest between the two political parties.

“In Key resolution, the meeting mandated the respective party chairpersons to continue structured and regular consultations across the party organs,” part of the statement says.

The statement further says the ongoing engagements are intended to build consensus on priority issues and lay the foundation for a formal coalition of equals between UDA and ODM Party.

The two political parties have reaffirmed their commitment to constructive dialogue, unity of purpose and a shared vision for national development and inclusive governance.
