Orengo Trashes ODM, UDA meeting at State House

Siaya Governor James Orengo has dismissed the recent meeting held at state between ODM and UDA.

Orengo claims that the meeting held at the State House is an indication UDA is trying to swallow ODM politically but it won’t be easy.

Addressing the Press at Kisumu International Airport ahead of the ODM linda Mwananchi wing's rallies in Vihiga Saturday and Kisumu on Sunday, Orengo  said there is no day when the former ODM party leader Raila Odinga took it to State House for negotiation by ruling political parties, adding that such meetings  were held outside the House on the Hill.

The Siaya Governor claims that holding such talks at State House meant that UDA is the Dorminant Party and political hegemony is with UDA Party, adding that this is not the case because ODM is the largest Party in the country.

"The most shameful thing is that as the people were discussing the issue of zoning at State House and ODM strongholds, the UDA party was having a jamboree in four Counties in this part of the Country. Two years ago it was very difficult for UDA to have even membership within a Sub location or within a polling station area but the other day, we saw UDA involved in a world jamboree in this part of the Country, " Orengo says.

Orengo claims that troubles in ODM are allegedly orchestrated by President William Ruto who has penetrated its organs with an aim of destroying it completely.

"He wants to do what he did in Central Kenya where after he was introduced in the region, he ran down the Jubilee Party, "Orengo adds.
